Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Objective: The purpose of this job is to direct the team of design consultants, suppliers and contractors in the design, drafting and specification stages. The role would also require on-site supervision and inspection of electrical systems installations during the construction stage as well as maintenance and production support once plant has been put in operation.

Main Responsibilities:
1) Read electrical drawings, instrumentation and control schematics - approve design and participate in engineering reviews with design consultants and suppliers.
2) Compute utility requirements, power loads, cable routings and specify requirements for consultants and suppliers to design accordingly.
3) Coordinating with local and international suppliers to develop specifications, review technical proposals

Requirements

University qualifications : Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
Previous experience : a minimum of 3 years work experience in the design and construction of heavy industry preferably metals or similar process industry.
Specialist knowledge : Have good understanding of HV/LV systems, P&ID's, Fire protection systems, HVAC systems (U-factor), CCTV, layouts, hydraulics, water treatment, cabling, valves etc.
Other Skills : Ideally a charter electrical engineer or working towards it.
Language Skills : Englsih
