The RoleThe RolePURPOSE OF WORK: To prepare detailed engineering drawings of construction projects in the refinery in both manually and electronically. To perform non-routine assignments as required in or out of any of the specified disciplines. REGULAR ASSIGNED DUTIES: 1. Practices Advanced CADD drafting skills in Microstation or AUTOCADD, such as using precision input, choosing the proper working units, attaching / detaching reference files & borders, and plotting of drawings. 2. Prepares layout of equipment, foundations, structures, buildings, piping. instrument and electrical. 3. Drafts Engineering sketches, flow diagrams, Process & Instrument Diagrams and any preliminary drawings required for materials take- off for project estimation and fund approval. 4. Conducts site surveys with project engineers or designers to determine dimensions and exact field conditions of new or revised installations. 5 Obtains necessary information from files, existing drawings and project engineers or designers for making final construction drawings or shop details. 6. Performs As-Building of Permanent Facility Drawings using Microstation and IRAS/B. 7. Attends as necessary CADD Drafting in Microstation classes or periodic orientation courses by lead designers. |
RequirementsRequirementsSummary of important specification and requirements of the vacancy: 1. BS Electrical, Instrumentation or Electronics and Communication Engineering (any of these field) 2. Proven minimum 12 years work experience, with 6 years in petrochemical or petroleum refinery design works. 3. Strong knowledge of with international standards. i.e. IEEE, API, NEC and ISA standards and guidelines. 4. Should be able to perform electrical related calculations (wire sizing, electrical equipment protections, control valve and orifice sizing) 5. Should have good knowledge in industry design best practices and it’s application. 6. Hands on experience in CAD or Micro station. 7. Construction experience is an advantage. 8. Dedicated, self motivated, requires minimum supervision and should be able to work in multiple design project. 9. Should be able to check or supervise design works of E/I designers and draftsmen. |
