Job description / Role
My client is a specialist European organization providing comprehensive water treatment solutions and services to local authorities and industries throughout the World.
They are looking for an Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Proposal Engineer to be accountable for the definition, cost estimation and proposal description of all Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation scope during the Proposals phase.
The Proposal Engineer will be part of the Proposal team and will work on both Industrial and Municipal projects. They will be part of the Global Project Proposal Team falling under the leadership of the Proposal Manager.
Key responsibilities of the Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Proposal Engineer include:
- Completing technical analysis of the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls section and checking specifications, electrical performances and guarantees
- Based on tender requirements, confirming the scope and defining the Division of Responsibilities for the relevant project with all relevant internal stakeholders
- Facilitating meetings with the Proposal Manager in order to freeze the key EIC design assumptions such as the general/local electrical specifications, security/reliability policies, product standard programs to be used etc.
- Coordinating with the drawing office to make the Single Line Diagram and preparing the Input/Output list
- Defining, in accordance with the Tender, the deliverable list that will need to be produced at the proposal phase and who will perform this production
- Ensuring the costing of the EIC scope and managing together with the support of the Supply Chain Platform
Requirements
- A degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- A good technical knowledge in engineering of electrical and automation systems
- Experience in Water Treatment sector (engineering and on site)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working for an EPC contractor in electrical and automation systems
- English fluent. Arabic or French are a plus.
- Familiarity with Pack Office
