Electrical Project Engineer

For a leading contracting company specialised in sewerage treatments, pipelines, water and drainage, we are recruiting an Electrical Project Engineer.

Reporting to the Projects Manager and whilst supervising the Site Engineers, Foremen and Draftsmen, you will be required to design and supervise the assembly of Electric and Control Panels with the use of EPLAN software.
You will specify system components to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
Responsibilities also include monitoring and controlling project activities on a day to day basis and reporting progress/ bottlenecks and short falls to the Projects Manager, with suggested corrective actions.
You will review Bill of Quantities, Clients’ typical drawings and standards, whilst liaising with the consultant/ client for comments and/or approval. You will also coordinate installation, testing and commissioning of all equipment at sites. You will submit site test reports and prepare as built dossiers in coordination with the Site Foreman and will be required to prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports.

Requirements

The successful applicant will be an Arab National and fluent in both English and Arabic.

A relevant electrical qualification is essential.

You should have a minimum of 7-10 years experience in a similar role. Exposure to Electrical works related to pipeline networks, pumping/ lifting stations and sewerage treatment plants is highly desirable.

Experience in Design and Programming of PLC and SCADA is advantageous, and experience with GHQ UAE Armed Forces’ clients is beneficial.

Candidates should have a valid UAE driving licence and be willing to work out of Abu Dhabi.
