Job description / Role
An international multidisciplinary consultancy is currently conducting a search for an Electrical Engineer who has over 3 years healthcare experience. The role is going to be based on Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Your primary purpose on the project is to ensure responses to necessary construction documentation is completed. You will also support the efforts of the site inspectors and give technical guidance on site.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the electrical works and make sure the project runs in line with international and local codes and procedures
- Review and process all electrical technical submittals
- Prepare RFIs on related electrical works
- Liaise and supervise the installation of selected electrical works
- Review all contractor claims in relation to the electrical site works and prepare recommendations
- Review the As Build drawings and record all approvals
- Review contractor site records
- Coordinate and assist with site inspection of completed works and monitor testing and commissioning of electrical works
- Prepare the handover package for complete electrical works
- Work closely on any other duties distributed by Senior Electrical or MEP Project Manager
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience
- Minimum of 5 years construction admin experience
- Minimum of 3 years hospital/healthcare experience
- You must hold a BSc in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
- Strong written and oral communication
- Good understanding of Electrical systems, products and materials
- Knowledge/experience in AUTO CAD
- Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation.
- Excellent understanding of specifications
- Good understanding of Authority requirements.
