Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Strategy:
Participates in the formulation and implementation of the Electrical Section Maintenance Department strategy to ensure the alignment with Chemanols strategy.

Policies, Processes and Procedures:
Participates and recommends improvements to Electrical Section policies, processes and procedures and manages their implementation in own section to ensure all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled.

Day-to-day Management:
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Electrical Section providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
- Liaises with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to ensure smooth flow of interactions.
- Schedule of Predictive / Preventive Maintenance & Breakdown Maintenance:
- Prepare schedule for PM of various electrical equipments in consultation with Sec. Manager.
- Plan material requires to carry out PM from the central warehouse / through procurement
- Plan departmental / contractors manpower based on the jobs as per required schedule.
- Brief job & job details to Technician group who will perform assigned work
- Process requisition work permits for the required equipments as per set procedures of the company.
- Supervise jobs as per recommendations of the electrical equipment manufacturer s(OEM) and Standard Maintenance Procedures set by the company.
- Takes trial run of the equipment and collects necessary data to ensure parameters within safe limits specified by the manufacturers.
- Ensure timely completion of the job and hand over to Operations by closing work permits issued.
- Communicate to all concerned as per protocol.
- Respond quickly to the breakdown/emergency call in shortest possible time.
- Make assessment of the breakdown, Communicate to Sec. Manager and arrange necessary manpower / spares / material on emergent basis to attend to the breakdown to restore in shortest possible time.
- Attend to the breakdown to restore normal operations.

Shutdown Planning & Execution:
- Prepare job list as per the Operations and other systems / equipment requirements.
- Review job list with sec Manager / Operations department.
- Prepare detailed material requirements with specifications.
- Raise PR if required o be procured
- Requisition manpower
- Arrange necessary PTW on the day of execution.
- Arrange work passes for contractors if assigned.
- Ensure timely handing over of equipments/system to avoid start up delays.

Energy Conservation / Savings Scheme:
- Participate actively in the Energy Conservation.
- Suggest views & schemes for considerations 7 evaluation to implement.
- Study electrical equipment systems for its efficient operations and observes required corrections / modifications.
- Implements schemes to ensure reduction in electrical energy consume.

Preparing Schemes for Modification to Increase Reliability:
- Prepare schemes
- Study occurrence of incidence to find its root cause.
- Prepares necessary scheme / MOC (Management of Change) and takes approval from competent authority.
- Arranges requisite materials / manpower to execute approved scheme / MOC at appropriate time.
- Ensures the performance of engineering change to meet the Reliability requirements.
- Proficient in Protection Schemes, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), Soft Starters operations & maintenance.
- Operate & maintain Turbo Generating Set in parallel with SEC grid. Upkeep of PLC / SCADA / Load Management System
- Trouble Shoot & Prepare Reports.

Critical Electrical Equipment Spares:
- Lists critical spares as recommended by manufacturers and as per the equipment requirements.
- Prepares detailed specifications and creates codes.
- Raised PR against created codes for procurement in SAP.
- Inspects the materials received in stores for its correctness as per the specifications.
- Coordinates with various departments concerned to ensure speedy execution of various jobs.

SAP system utilization:
Utilize SAP System to prepare job plans/notifications, initiate IRs, execute preventive maintenance and breakdowns (troubleshooting and repairs) - work orders and input failure reports input to SAP.

Continuous Improvement:
Directs the management of change through continuous improvement of functional systems, processes and practices taking into account international best practice, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.

Reporting:
- Prepares list for purchases of parts and supplies; maintain accurate records; trouble shooting manual/ information needed by department management; operate computer equipment and software; develop field sketches/single line diagrams and update record drawings of electrical systems. Prepare technical data to report as required; perform related assignments as necessary.
- Prepares daily energy consumption reports and submits it to Section Manager for review and onward transmittal to production department.
- Prepares check lists, Log Books, history books, energy readings & other such monitoring reports required from time to time to timely attending the problems so noticed.

Budget:
- Controls expenditure.
- Collects Budget preparing data.

People Management:
Manages the effective achievement of division objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, providing of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and department performance and transfer knowledge.

Safety, Health & Environment:
- Complies with Company Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSE-MS) and also promote awareness of its use among others.
- Ensures availability of Good & safe to use proper tools, spares, consumables and correct use of various types of electrical equipments and PPE as specified in daily PTW & Method statements.


Related Assignments:
Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.

Requirements

Academic and professional qualifications:
* Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering./ B. Tech ./B.S.

Experience:
* 11-13 years extensive experience in petrochemical / fertilizer (continues process) industries.

Languages:
* Proficiency in English / Arabic.
