Our client, one of the fastest growing public safety and security solutions organisations globally, is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Electrical Supervisor to their UAE team. As the portfolio of infrastructure / civil projects across the Middle East continues to expand, so too does our employer, a leading provider of public safety and security solutions.Looking to expand their ranks and with long term prospects providing stability and career development, our employer is seeking to welcome a professional and experienced Electrical Supervisor for their multi-billion dollar infrastructure project. Based on-site, the role is to support the Construction Manager in the execution supervision of the electrical work activities of the subcontractors plus supervise the daily efforts of the electrical and supporting activities of the project through daily coordination of all field activities, subcontractor direction and specification compliance.

Reporting to the Country Project Manager, this role is responsible for the following:

• Supports the Construction Manager to ensure timely completion against schedule and makes recommendations to increase resources to improve performance, where required
• Provides inspection ATR, runs ATP and all documentation of completed work packages and recommendation of sign-off to the Construction Manager
• Supervises daily activities to ensure compliances scheduling and testing is conducted
• Supervise in order to minimize issues reports of non-conformance and poor quality in liaison with the QC Engineer
• Supports activities of the Program HS&E Plan and procedures and attends toolbox meetings. Provide support to H&S Officers on the site
• Supervise implementation of the civil works against AFC design to ensure compliance and best practice
• Responsible for the construction effort through the supervision of civil subcontractor superintendents and site civil engineers in assigned area of project
• Ensures subcontractors compliance with Permit to Work systems and operating company procedures
• Ensures subcontractors compliance with HSE and QA/QC Plans
• Builds and maintains a positive working relationship with the subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Assists Construction Manager with coordination of materials and tracking of asset inventory

Requirements

The attributes we seek for this pivotal role include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Electrical plus a minimum of 6 years of construction related experience in electrical and infrastructure projects.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience (Middle East preferred) as an Electrical Supervisor in infrastructure projects, preferably in a secure environment
• Possess relevant trade qualification and/or professional membership
• Must have knowledge of the BS Electrical Code and the local electrical regulations
• Previous experience and understanding relating to electrical and communications installations
• Requires a sound knowledge of electrical construction techniques and craft skills
