Electrical Technical Manager

Job description / Role

To take overall charge of preparation of shop drawings based on the request of Project Manager for various projects.
- Responsible for Review of Design Inputs: Specifications, Pretender and post tender clarifications, Applicable standards and Regulations.
- Responsible for study and preparation of Master drawing Schedule.
- Responsible for Overall Design Planning; and drawing preparation and submission schedules.
- Responsible for Conducting Design Reviews for various Design activities Responsible for assigning / allocation of design works.

Job allotted Responsible for Review and approval of Design drawings before submission to Client.
- Responsible for Review and approval of BOQ before issuing to Contracts.
- Responsible for organizing meeting with Client to resolve comments on Designs and obtaining approvals.
- Responsible for organizing meetings with suppliers and subcontractors for progress review and resolving outstanding issues and obstacles in the completion of Designs.
- Responsible for expediting the Submittals / Drawings approvals and giving manufacturing clearances.
- Responsible for rendering technical support to Site execution and Project Management.
- Confer with management and site staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
- Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
- Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment and Direct, review, and approve product design and changes.
- Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts, and direct the negotiation of research contracts.
- Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department.
- Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
- Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications. Set scientific and technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management.
- Responsible to prepare and obtain ADDC / ETISALT approval for Shop Drawings.
- Responsible to lead the electrical engineers at head office to prepare the MR for procurement and prepare all electrical material submittals and submit to site team.

- Applicant must have minimum 10-12 years experience in Electrical engineering / construction (UAE / Gulf Experience is a must)
- Applicant shall be familiar with local Authorities like ADDC, ETISALAT..etc
- Low current / ELV Experience is an advantage
