Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a UAE Based well renowned & Leading ship builder and support contractor for all Naval, Military and Commercial Operators in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) needs the following personnel for permanent employment. Candidates for these positions must meet the following requirements:

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for performing Planned Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) of all Platform Electrical & Electronic equipment / system onboard assigned vessels.

Perform the following to meet different maintenance activities on-board ship Platform system/Equipment's:
- Execute PM and CM as per the work order / job card for all platform electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
- Identify and report defects and abnormalities.
- Identify spares.

Requirements

- Diploma/ITI in Engineering or Equivalent with 5/7years experience in marine / offshore or similar role.
- Technical knowledge of Electrical & Electronic systems on ships.
- Knowledge of how to read comprehend technical specifications, drawings and setting to work and test & trials procedures.
- Knowledge of General Power Generation and Distribution system onboard.
- Knowledge and hands on experience on maintenance of electrical circuits, motors, distribution panels, switch boards, converters, transformers, inventers etc.
- Operation of general workshop machinery.
- Ability to use range of test equipment's.
- Maintenance on switchboard and associated equipments.
- Understand isolation process for system and equipment, both live and under test.
- Overhaul switchboard breakers.
- Function Testing.

Preference shall be given to candidates with hands on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment onboard Marine/Naval ships.

3. Degree/Diploma and
4. Passport.
