Job description / Role

Objective: Responsible for the maintenance, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical power systems.
Reporting to : Plant Superintendent
Subordinates : 3 Electricians
Other interactions : Outside Vendors (External)
Number required : 1
Duration : Permanent
Desired start date : Immediate
Probation : 3 months
Working hours : 07.00 am to 04.00 pm, Saturday to Thursday
Gross monthly base salary : Competitive remuneration package

Requirements

University qualifications : Diploma in Electrical and/or Electronics
Other certifications : Degree in Electrical and/or Electronics or Instrumentation
Previous experience : 5 years of hands on practical experience in industrial plant operations.
Work experience in heavy industry (e.g. shipyard, steel mills, chemical industry, mining industry or offshore).
Specialist knowledge : Demonstrated knowledge on PLC troubleshooting, programming, installation and modification. Note: ability to program PLCs a must.
Demonstrated experience in supervising personnel.
Computer literate with knowledge and experience in MS Word/Excel.
Experience in PLC design.
Practical experience in areas such as Temperature Monitoring & Control, Plant LV Distribution & Protection, AC & DC Relay and Motor Control Circuits.
Knowledge and experience on AutoCAD.

Other Skills : Good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent Oral and written English.
Analytical mind, dynamic personality and team player.
Knowledge on computer applications.
Ability to perform well in an environment where exposure to the elements is common.
