With demand in our Power Networks sector continually growing we are looking to appoint Electricity Regulation Specialist
Job location: Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Plans, implements and monitors the electricity regulation subjects and requirement in accordance with the licensing conditions predefined by the Regulation & Supervision Bureau (RSB). Assists the Regulation Advisor on all matters relating to the electricity distribution and supply business, provides guidance and advice on all pertaining matters.
Ensure the implementation and adherence of the electricity distribution and supply business to the rules and regulations predefined by the RSB. Adhere to Client policy and procedures and that behavior meets the company standard of conduct.
Oversee and directs internal review and monitoring electricity distribution and supply activities, including annual and periodic department reviews.
Develop, implement and revise the Electricity Compliance Program to ensure adherence to the RSB license conditions and Client company policy to prevent improper conduct.
Review of electricity network performance and incident reporting documentation and other information that is relevant to electricity distribution and supply activities.
Assist in the proactive approach of maintenance planning, scheduling and adherence of the regulatory requirements within Client.
Attend /Represent Client in meetings, workshops related to Electricity Regulation and provides a report to Regulation Advisor.
Develop training and awareness programs to enhance the regulation knowledge & culture within Client.
Perform other similar or related duties as and when assigned by the Regulation Advisor.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. Additional postgraduate qualifications will be an added advantage.
10 years of experience in regulatory issues within the Utilities Sector.
Excellent acquisition of English and Arabic language. Advanced communication, and presentation skills.
Very good interpersonal, organizational, planning, problem solving, priority setting, decision making, ability to influence and team building skills.
Computer literate with very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
