Employee Relations Officer

Job description / Role

Work closely with the HR team providing HR expertise support with a particular focus on Employee Relations (ER).
• Responsible for providing support, advice, guidance and handling complex ER issues as well as coaching employees to become more self-sufficient when dealing with ER cases.
• Develop and deliver a focused employee relations strategy that meets the needs of all stakeholder groups and ensure that the ER Team achieves their objectives and work plan.
• Identify and implement positive employee relations programs, in consultation with the relevant stakeholder groups that will lead to a more motivated workforce.
• Contribute to the continued improvement of the org effectiveness by monitoring emp performance indicators, such as sickness absence, levels of grievances and discipline and work/life balance by developing initiatives and solutions to enable positive trends.
• To ensure the appropriate management of all ER issues including grievances, performance issues and disciplinary action.

Requirements

• To develop, update and maintain company personnel policy & procedures.
• B.A. in Human Resources / Business Administration
• 5 years direct and relevant experience in Human Resources with minimum 2 years in policy & procedure
• Good presentation skills
• Coaching & counseling skills
• Effective communication skills, spoken and written English and Arabic • Professional and technical expertise
• Knowledge of Qatari laws
