The RoleThe RoleExciting opportunity to join a progressive, international college based in Qatar. Role description The Employment Manager is responsible for all aspects of the sourcing, recruitment and selection process. This position researches and recommends sources of quality candidates supporting staffing needs, leads workforce planning with department leaders and Finance, and makes recommendations to the Director of Human Resources with respect to strategic planning and budgeting. In order to measure staffing results and improve efforts, this position will establish and regularly report on key metrics covering timing, quality, and satisfaction with new hires.The position manages other recruiters in the Employment Services function, and provides daily guidance, coaching, discipline, and supervisory oversight. Other responsibilities include developing and delivering periodic training to department leadership on effective recruiting techniques, representing the college at appropriate community job events, and managing vendor relationships. The person will establish processes for the college that will be followed in the hiring of new candidates. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the Employment Services function. Ensures recruitment staff adheres to professional standards for pre-induction and induction procedures, including reference checking, and other verifications. Leads the recruiting activities for multiple job openings in the college. Oversees all recruiting and community outreach activities related to the employee recruitment function. Develops and maintains relationships with employment organizations, various community agencies and other candidate sources; attends college career fairs/consortiums and related recruitment events to represent college. Negotiates and implements recruitment programs with various global employee search agencies. Develops and implements advertising campaigns and prepares job advertisements. Ensures compliance with US regulations and Qatar labor laws, and develops strategies to support Qatarization initiatives. Hires, supervises and trains Employment Services staff . Responsible for the recruitment and selection procedures, including processing of requisitions and authorization Who we're looking for The successful candidate will: • Have 5 years experience in a mid-sized organization successfully recruiting multiple levels of employees. Prior experience in an international, healthcare or academic environment highly desirable. Sourcing experience in the Arabian Gulf region preferred. • Have a strong working knowledge of staffing processes, and standard recruiting metrics (time to fill, etc). • Demonstrate excellent project management, analytical and research skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through completion. • Have well developed interpersonal and negotiating skills. Experience in a multi-cultural working environment is a plus. • Display ability to analyze problems and provide creative solutions • Be a self-starter with high energy. • Be Innovative and flexible to meet the demands of an ever-changing labor market. • Have at least 3 years of direct experience managing professional level employees.
