Job description / Role
Our Client is an international engineering company headquartered in Dubai, specialised in energy engineering and management.
Due to recent growth and various projects in the pipeline, we are seeking a Design and Project Manager to be based in Dubai and drive forward and deliver on all engineering verticals of our company.
You must be outcome driven and passionate about delivering high quality solutions for clients and the environment. You will manage all engineering design and project management aspects of our company including research and development.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
• Project feasibility studies and reporting
• Developing, testing and evaluating theoretical designs
• Project engineering design, installation and commissioning management and support
• Value engineer project designs
• Work actively with our Head of Engineering to analyse and implement project solutions
• Develop project specific procedures, costing, proposals and technical services documentation
• Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management
• Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors
• Deriving project plans and facilitating project execution adhering to project budget and timeline
• Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modelling and computer aided design
• Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions
• On site supervision and management of installation works and sub-contractors
• Ensuring all relevant project safety objectives and legal requirements are met
• Contribute positively to the company's reputation
Application Criteria
• High level experience in mechanical engineering related fields - preferably
• Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems with more than 8 years' experience
• Engineering project experience with building systems (HVAC, chilled water systems, pumping systems, solar PV)
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering (Honours)
• Master degree in engineering related fields - preferably in HVAC systems, green buildings or renewable energy
• Certified Energy Manager; Certified Measurement and Verification Professional; Certified Commissioning Professional
• Expert knowledge of operational chiller and chilled water systems
• Design experience with chilled water systems (both chillers based and district cooling)
• Design knowledge in the fields of engineering materials, thermodynamics, advanced heat transfer and fluid mechanic
• Design and operation of Building Energy Management Systems
• Proficient in energy modelling software (TRANE Trace)
• Financial analysis and cost modelling
