Employment: Full Time

Purpose:
The Employee Engagement Manager, will work with the departmental heads and head of HR to create a Bank-wide engagement strategy. The manager will also work with those responsible for supervisor training to integrate engagement concepts into existing and future supervisor training so that strong supervisors become the primary conduit for increasing engagement. The manager will be responsible for the execution and overall communication as it relates to employee engagement initiatives. The manager will be responsible for developing a survey process and metrics that will enable the Bank to track employee engagement progress at both an institution wide and a local unit level. During the survey cycle the manager will partner with the Divisional Heads to ensure effective administration of the survey. The manager will serve as a subject matter expert on the survey results. After the survey cycle, the manager will produce reports that will help the Bank and individual units track progress and create action that drive positive employee engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create a comprehensive and sustainable employee engagement strategy.
• Work with divisional heads to develop strategies and demonstrable links between engagement and their strategic goals.
• Work with vendors, business partners and administrative unit Human Resource partners to design, deploy, and evaluate effective and efficient engagement surveys.
• Conduct employee focus groups to complement engagement surveys.
• Develop a train the trainer program to enable units to analyze their own data and build action plans.
• Create and/ or edit tools, training materials, and resources to help partners and leaders successfully build action plans based on survey results.
• Create an effective communication plan and provide content for various communication vehicles.
• Leverage events to create and sustain dialogue around engagement.
• Identify and address issues and solutions related to employee engagement.
• Help divisional heads determine links between engagement and outcomes such as; turnover, healthcare costs and grievances.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify unique division/ location needs while balancing the overall purpose and requirements of the employee engagement strategy.
• Manage professional training and the development of staff.
• Performs any other duties or responsibilities that are consistent with the employee role and as assigned by management.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

Education:
• Master’s Degree in Management with specialization in Human Resources.
Professional / Technical Qualifications / Diplomas:
• Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) preferred.

Experience:
• 8 – 10 years experience in Human Resources across all areas of the functions, including at least 5 years in the similar position in a banking/ financial institution.
