Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• To ensure compliance where appropriate with the Company's Procedures and Policies
• To be responsible for the preparation and tendering of dry-dock specifications, and management supervision of dry-docking of company owned vessels.
• To ensure that all vessels planned maintenance is continuously monitored for effectiveness and updated as required
• To ensure that Engineering and Technical Standard's are maintained to the highest levels.
• To monitor the Purchase Department with regard to efficient and timely sourcing and delivery of spare parts for all vessels.
• To ensure that all vessels engineering reports are reviewed as per SMS procedures.
• To liaise with manufacturers and consultants in relation to new technical concepts ,innovations and warranty issues on
• to provide general assistance to both marketing and Marine Operations in respect of technical matters.
• To be responsible for obtaining approval from Classification Societies in respect of vessels Statutory and Class requirements and maintain an ongoing liaison with these bodies.
• To issue Internal Technical Bulletins to all vessels when required or instructed.
• To take part in Operations Dept weekly duty rota system.

Requirements

Chief Engineer in compliance with STCW
Minimum 3 years of sea experience as chief engineer of offshore support vessels;
Minimum 5 years of shore experience as Senior Engineering superintendent or higher
Excellent Knowledge of offshore support vessels;
Proficient in MS Office
Able to work under pressure;
Strong Leadership skills and experience of managing a fleet of approx 15 offshore vessels is very important.
