The RoleThe RoleAn Engineering Manager is required in Baku, Azerbaijan by a Contracting company. My Client provides support and services to the offshore marine industry. They have substantial operations throughout the Middle East and the Caspian, with additional vessel operations in North Africa and Southeast Asia. With a diverse fleet of 100+ vessels, they support major offshore projects in the regions in which they operate, with anchor-handling tug supply vessels, platform supply vessels, multi-purpose supply vessels, specialized barges and ice-breakers among many others. The Engineering Manager will be reporting to the General Manager - Azerbaijan. He needs to ensure compliance where appropriate with the Company's procedures and policies in accordance with the requirements of the ISM Code and ISO 9001 ‘V 2000 Standard. He will be responsible for the preparation and tendering of dry-dock specifications, and management supervision of dry-docking of BUE Caspian owned vessel. To also liaise and assist Alliance Technical Manager with docking of KMNF owned vessels. To ensure that all vessels planned maintenance is continuously monitored for effectiveness and updated as required. RequirementsRequirements Chief Engineer in compliance with STCW III/2 Minimum 3 years of sea experience as Chief Engineer of Offshore Support vessels Minimum 5 years of shore experience as Sr. Engineering superintendent or higher Excellent Knowledge of offshore support vessels Proficient in MS Office Able to work under pressure Strong leadership skills and experience of managing a fleet of approximately 15 offshore vessels is very important Western educated |
