Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Establish and maintain systems and processes for technical management of the D&B Contract
- Management of the D&B Contractor in terms of design delivery and compliance Employers Requirements
- Management of technical review team for all design disciplines including civil, structural, Architectural & MEP inputs
- Undertake reviews and make recommendations to the Employer on technical issues
- Undertake the delegated duties of the Engineer under the FIDIC contract for technical issues
- Management of Rail Systems Assurance process and contractors requirements management process
- Manage inputs for specialist technical peer reviews
- Conduct technical audits of the D&B design process and report findings
- Monitor and report on design progress
- Manage Value Engineering and Change Management processes

Requirements

- Head of the design review team for the Civil Works in terms of structural engineering, broad experience in designs of underground works, such as Metro Rail Transit stations, tunnels (including TBM construction technologies), shafts etc. with Cut-and-caver method, open Cut, underground excavation by conventional means, diaphragm walls, retaining works, piling works, water proofing works etc. With special emphasis on issues of constructability, financial design and protection of buildings and infrastructures.
- This experience must cover the works Concerning stations, tunnels and shafts, as well as interconnections with railway and MEP systems.
- Facilitating workshops and design review process.
- Responsible for processing design and timely management of the design process.
- As the Design Review Team Coordinator, will have knowledge of the main systems used in the Metro Rail Transit lines or of associated systems, of the safety requirements for the Metro Rail Transit designs, according to international standards and accepted best practice and shall have a basic knowledge of the Metro Rail Transit operations.
- Experience should be minimum 12 years with at least 3 years in a similar role.
- Bachelor degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering or architecture with both pre construction and post contract experience.
- Ideally with previous work on underground stations.
- This is predominately a technical design review role.
