Job description / Role
International Building Contractor is looking to appoint an Engineering Manager to be site based on a newly awarded building project in Muscat Oman.
Reporting directly into the Project Director you will be responsible for all aspects related to Design, Coordination and management of Engineering related activities.
You will have a can do attitude and be able to deal with all technical and changing scopes of a fast track building project worth $370 Million.
They want someone that has a proven track record of being an Engineering Manager for the past 5 Years in the GCC market working on large scale building projects such as high rise, airports, hotels & commercial projects.
You will be able to manage and coordinate all aspects from Design to Structural Engineering.
Day to day activities on site listed below:
- Management, technical assessments and monitoring Site Office Engineering Departments
- Coordination and support to Contracts, Project and Planning Management
- Preparation of Engineering Standards, Policies and Procedures
- Creation of technical library and training schedules of junior staff
- Value Engineering and Value Management of running construction projects, Temporary Works
- Active support to Tendering if needed on other projects
Requirements
- Civil Engineering Degree Qualified
- Western Educated & Trained (This means Europe , South Africa & Australia)
- Solid Contracting background showing loyalty and success in high pressure environments
