The RoleThe RoleEngineering Manager -- Saudi Arabia -- Competitive Tax Free Salary + VIP Medicare + Fully Expensed Car + Fully Expensed Housing + 30 Days Holiday pa + additional 10 days + Gratuity Package Our client is one of the leading juice / drinks manufactures in the Arabia Gulf, with a production volume in excess of 250 million litres per year, produced in a state of the art factory, with HACCP, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification. They have an ambitious but achievable plan to double turnover from 2008-2012. Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, the Engineering Manager appointed must be able to take responsibility for the engineering department, work within an annual budget and lead a team of well qualified engineers and technicians. The manufacturing unit works 24/7 The Engineering Manager responsibilities include maintenance of all machineries, buildings and vehicles. The manufacturing unit is all computerized using Siemans, Allen Bradley and Ge Fanuc plc computers. Supporting this unit is the auxiliary plant with ammonia systems, boilers and pack chillers. The buildings; office block, production halls and a canteen block on a 48,000 sq metre site will also fall within the remit of the Engineering Manager, as will a fleet of delivery vehicles all requiring routine servicing. As all manufacturing is conducted within a fully computerized system, all machineries are included and there is close monitoring of: maintenance cost; engineering breakdowns and line efficiencies. |
RequirementsRequirementsApplicants must have worked in the juice drinks and/or milks industry in a similar position before and be very familiar with Tetra Pak high speed filling machines and automated process Plant. Essential to have a broad based engineering background. Be educated to degree level with at least 10 years experience in senior management. You must be able to demonstrate your career path in engineering management and clearly define your achievements. It is essential to have a good working experience in HACCP, ISO: 9001 and ISO 14001 and very tight hygienic systems. A measured and mature approach; common sense, analytical skills, personal energy, hard work and can do attitude with a quiet confidence are some of the qualities required of all applicants. Interviews will be held in the UK in Feb 2008 and selected candidates will be asked to visit the factory site in Saudi Arabia for a few days familiarization prior to taking up the appointment.
