Job description / Role
Our client has a requirement for an Engineering Project Execution Manager to oversee and manage the various stages of planning and development for a variety of engineering projects including major civil and mechanical projects from initial conceptual plans through to completion at a new Economic Zone in Oman.
You will participate in scope, budget, time recruiting and team creation and building. Ensure all parts of specific projects are progressing, and that the project works as a whole. Oversee a range of different projects at the same time, in different phases of development. Manage definition of scope, budgeting, time allocation and management plus recruiting and building team building.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or the equivalent.
- A membership of a professional engineering society is preferred.
- At least 12+ years civil engineering site experience with 6-8 years of project management experience covering roads, infrastructure, housing and industrial /commercial developments.
- Experience working within consultant and contractor environments is essential.
- Strong familiarity with project management tasks and where applicable software, GIS, Autocad is required.
- A broad exposure to mechanical and electrical engineering in addition to Civil engineering would be an advantage.
- Detailed experience in organisational, time management, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills is essential.
- Ability to work within budgets and to deadlines, a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legal regulations is required.
