Description and Desired Qualifications

CH2M HILL Engineering Team Leader - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Project Manager required to provide PMC services for this large scale on-shore Oil and Gas project. This assignment requires a Project Manager who is open to working in locations worldwide, through various phases of this project. FEED, EPC Tender Evaluation , Detailed Engineering and Construction phase. The Project Manager will be initially based in Toronto for a period of 4 months to complete the FEED phase, prior to moving to Abu Dhabi UAE for the EPC tender evaluation phase, which will be for a period of 6 months. The PMC team will then follow the project to the EPC Contractors office in a separate international location for a period of 18 months to complete the detailed engineering. The location for detailed engineering will only be identified after the EPC tender evaluation.

Construction phase in the UAE is expected to last until the end of 2017.
Our client has been chartered by their shareholders to expand sustainable crude oil production from its current level of 1.4 million barrels oil per day (MMBOPD) to 1.8 MMBOPD. Accordingly, our client is under taking a Full Field Development of a new undeveloped field located about 80 Km Southeast of existing Asab oil field and approximately 200 km south-southeast of Abu Dhabi city.

Facilities expansion shall include the tie-in of 102 producer and 132 WAG wells for Phase II Part I. The envisaged surface facilities include:

• Three new water injection clusters
• Extensions of Phase I gas injection network to meet Phase II gas injection requirements. Gas will be supplied from the Phase I CDS compression system
• A new gas injection transfer line between CDS and the new RDS-2
• New Water injection lines
• 10 new Multi-Selector Manifolds (MSMs)
• 5 new Multiphase Flow Meters (MPFMs)
• New Production Separator with its booster pumps (1 + 1) of similar capacity
• New MOL pumps
• Water handling system shall be expanded with the installation of additional water separation tanks, 1 water disposal tank and 4 water disposal pumps
• Additional VRC
• Utilities and support facilities such as Flare, Closed Drain System, Instrument Air System, and Nitrogen Generation & distribution system will also be part of surface facilities provided at RDS-2
• Extensions of Electrical OHL network to service new water injection clusters and new RDS-2
• New Gas Lift Injection Compressor including new gas dehydration unit and new Gas Lift Network
• New substation building shall be built within Qusahwira phase 1 CDS and a local control building with utility building at RDS-2
The PMC Team Leader will perform the duties of a Project Manager, managing all aspects of the FEED and EPC Contracts, including technical, cost, quality, schedule etc., on behalf of our client.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• To supervise, manage and control the work and services of the FEED Consultant and EPC Contractor engaged by our client for the execution of FEED and EPC for the project
• In undertaking this role and discharging his responsibilities, the T/L shall coordinate and accept directives, at all stages, from the PMC Project Director and client PM/SPM/VP - SE (E&P)
• T/L shall work towards the successful achievement of clients targets in terms of HSE performance, QC, schedule and cost

Requirements

Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:

• B.Sc. In Engineering Discipline (Preferably Process or Mechanical)
• 18 - 25 years of experience, with 10-15 years minimum in Oil & Gas upstream production and processing (preferred) petro-chemicals or other hydrocarbon related projects
• Gulf experience preferable. Previous PMC / Consulting experience is a must
