Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:

Lead short and long term IT strategy, implementation and operations across Sadara, spreading across corporate and manufacturing applications, data centres, disaster recovery, network/computing services, productivity systems and information protection. Has overall ownership for the development and delivery of IT services to meet business needs.

Duties:

Functional Duties:
• Translate business strategy into technology strategy; Develop and maintain IT strategy and own the related Enterprise Architecture.
• Lead and manage all IT functions; Ownership of all IT services, including infrastructure and security services, and maintenance of existing IT corporate and manufacturing systems
• Manage IT-business relationship; represent Technology in business discussions and ensure necessary technology capabilities needed by business are developed
• Drive smarter technology investments in the organization
• Establish Key Performance Indicators for the IT Organization and provide leadership to direct reports in order to help them achieve desired business goals and targets.
• Formulate the structure and manning of IT projects teams to carry out the development of IT systems ensuring that all logistical and procedural support is provided for these teams.
• Create a culture of performance and value in technology services.
• Review planned network maintenance, upgrade projects and downtime periods, to ensure technical support issues and query volumes are resolved effectively.
• Shape the IT organization in terms of structure, roles and responsibilities.
• Ensure effective management of risks and compliance.
• Define, manage, and implement IT policy and governance structure for Sadara.
• Keep abreast of technical developments and trends in the IT field in order to keep Sadara’s systems effective and up to date.
• Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.

Managerial Duties:
• Direct and manage respective Divisions in performing their roles, responsibilities and delegated tasks.
• Conduct performance evaluation reviews for direct reports, identify and ensure they acquire the required managerial or functional skills and knowledge.
• Provide input in setting the Department’s annual budget, in accordance with the Function’s strategic goals and objectives.
• Detect needed and additional skills or individuals in order meet and exceed the set of objectives.
• Create a productive and safe work environment within the Department, and foster high attention to details and efficient knowledge transfer among employees.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Administration or any related field.
• Master degree in one of these majors is preferred.

Professional Experience (minimum):

• 7+ years of experience in Service Development or Operations, 5+ years in business facing role*
• 15+ years of management experience
• Strong knowledge of core IT (Infrastructure, Applications), chemical industry business processes and technology supplier community, specialty in multiple technical areas
• Ability to translate business vision into IT vision, objectives and programs
• Proven leadership and management skills
