The RoleThe Role Join the FIFA Infrastructure Boom Public Works Government Authority Location: Doha, Qatar The country of Qatar continues to experience substantial construction growth with infrastructure budgets rising to over $120B for infrastructure and road projects by 2016. To support this growth, our client; the public works authority; has created a number of senior management expatriate postings for urgent commencement. With long term prospects providing stability and career development, our employer is looking to recruit an experienced Enterprise Asset Management Lead to their Assets Affairs team to add value in an advisory capacity. Working as part of the Asset Affairs team, this role will provide high level direction on the requirements for an enterprise asset management system (EAMS) for roads and drainage functions within the Asset Affairs Department. This role provides oversight to the design and implementation of the EAMS by the management contractors, ensuring alignment with the firm's ICT and corporate strategies. Your responsibilities in the role will include: Provide leadership and direction in the development of Drainage / Roads ICT EAMS, Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), programme management tools, fleet management, stock / inventory management and other such related business systems. Align both Management Contracts EAMS to strategic goals and objectives Where advantageous, provide expert guidance for establishing common systems, procedures and practices for the drainage and roads EAMS, (with even the possibility for a single platform for both roads and drainage) Support the integration of Asset Affairs wider IT systems with those at corporate level. Contract and Risk oversight, reporting to the firm's steering group |
RequirementsRequirementsEssential attributes include: University degree from a recognised university in an appropriate field such as: engineering; IT and information systems, business and administration, project management or comparable. Master's degree in a relevant field or Chartered Status is highly desirable. A minimum of 5 years experience in the government infrastructure sector with experience in either drainage or roads infrastructure being highly regarded. 5 years experience in the direct design and implementation of well-known EAMS such as Oracle, SAP, IBM, etc. Experience in directing and managing significant contracts from the client side, preferably within a government agency. Experience in the integration/interfacing of information management systems to support information work flow, and to capture and accurately report performance of consultants and contractors. Experience of working in Qatar or the Gulf region is desirable. An expatriate package and relocation assistance will be provided to attract the top candidates to the role.
