The country of Qatar continues to experience substantial construction growth with infrastructure budgets rising to over $120B for infrastructure and road projects by 2018. To support this growth, our client; the public works authority; has created a number of senior management expatriate postings for urgent commencement. With long term prospects providing stability and career development, our employer is looking to recruit two experienced Enterprise Risk Management Specialists / Leads to their team to add value in an advisory capacity.

Working as part of the Risk Management team, your responsibilities in the role will include:

• Review and refine he firm’s Risk Management Framework, Methods and Best Practices integrated with the firm’s Strategy Management methodology.
• Coordinates and facilitates implementation of the firm’s corporate risk management strategy and framework.
• Manage and facilitate the risk management reviews as well the analysis, evaluation and assessment of risks.
• Manage and facilitate the review of risk treatment options and recommendations
• Assist in the development of risk analysis capacity and capability within the organisation.
• Assist in the production of timely high quality risk monitoring reports for the operational management team and senior management executive team.
• Collaborate with business units in the production of risk registers for their relevant areas.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other individuals throughout the firm in order to monitor and support development of the firm’s corporate risk management strategy and framework.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit in further advancing and integrating risk management practices into the business
• Contribute to the development of quarterly reports for executive, audit and board committees.
• Manage internal relationships with the functional business areas.

Requirements

Essential attributes include:

• Bachelor or Master Degree from a recognized institution (business/engineering) plus 7-10 years of experience in risk management services (enterprise risk management, internal audit).
• Deep knowledge and experience of the ISO31000: Risk Management methodology and processes.
• Substantial knowledge and experience of latest best practices of Balanced Scorecard Methodology and processes.
• Strong communication skills, the ability to develop and manage relationships, along with a good understanding of risk management practices will be essential.
• Must be able to critically evaluate business problems/requirements and translate into analytical exercises
• Ability to adapt to constantly changing requirements, and to manage multiple projects with conflicting priorities
• Fluency in written and spoken English - Arabic speaker preferred
• The candidate will be expected to be multi-skilled, capable of multi-tasking and taking the initiative in delivering team outcomes.
