Job description / Role
Parsons Brinckerhoff was selected by Ashghal to provide program management consultant (PMC) services for what is expected to be more than 200 local road and drainage infrastructure projects to be implemented throughout the country over a period of five to seven years. Five general engineering consultants (GECs) have been selected to design, tender and supervise construction of the projects under Parsons Brinckerhoff’s supervision.
As such we are looking for an Environment Manager to be responsible for the implementation and administration of the Local Roads and Drainage Programme’s Environmental Management System and Sustainability objectives.
Requirements
• Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering with 20 years experience in engineering / consulting on the environmental aspects and requirements of projects.
• Well versed in Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Permitting, Regulations / Processes, etc. for major Infrastructure projects.
• Experience in the design and construction phases of projects.
• Experience in preparation of project related environmental policy, technical specifications, reports and correspondence.
• Skills to communicate with client representatives, agencies, and others stakeholders and engineering teams on the Programme.
• Bilingual English and Arabic preferred.
