Job description / Role
- Direct Company and its subcontractors to reduce, reuse and recycle and a proper disposal of their wastes at the correct location defined by client.
- Undertake assessments, control and recording of what is being reused/ recycled and disposed;
- Monitor and incorporate any changes in requirements made by applicable local legislation and/or regulations on waste management during construction, commissioning and start-up.
- Will interact with supervisors and managers for data reconciliation and advice changes to fulfill the environmental procedures and regulatory norms.
- Develop the techniques and procedures for measuring the environmental discharges, analyze the data and report environmental performance on daily, monthly and annual basis.
- Submit a summary of consolidated waste management activity in the HSE monthly report to client.
- Investigation of any anomaly arising with any party's waste management log;
- Develop audit schedule and conduct environmental auditing. Provide expert advice on audit findings, and prepare/ follow up action plans.
- Routine documented auditing of subcontractor operations, including confirming if any load varies substantially from what is stated on the manifest, or appears to contain contaminated or hazardous material.
- Ensure the submittal of the waste management tracking and documentation from subcontractors.
- Ensure temporary storage facilities as per waste classification is provided and timely disposal from Site Facilities.
- Assist in preparing or delivering any training program that may be needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in Environmental Engineering
- Degree in Environmental related field
- Experienced in projects currently under construction
- Must be able to eligible for a visa in Qatar
