Job description / Role
Our client are one the leading project management consultancies in Qatar that formed over 5 years ago to provide the leading real estate developers a full array of PMC services on projects both regionally and internationally.
These projects are within the commercial, residential, rail, mixed use and retail sectors. All of high value and complexity, our client provide PMC, Cost, HSE, QAQC, Planning and Environmental services on behalf of the client.
We are currently seeking to recruit an Environmental Supervisor for their Doha – Qatar office.
As an Environmental Supervisor your duties will include:
Coordination of the Environmental interfaces and aspects of simultaneous operations of construction work and subcontractors,
Manage and control the environmental performance of Contractors/ Developers
Implementation of the Environmental Management System, including necessary Environmental Management Plans,
Control and endorse the regular environmental reports of the Contractors including Sustainability
• Implementation of effective Emergency Response in case of major risk of environmental nuisance,
• Ensure that licenses or permits for specific activities are obtained before each construction activity commences
• Definition, implementation and reporting of Environmental Management targets
• Review and approval of Contractor’s/Developer’s Environmental Management systems and/or bridging documents
• Environmental Instruction and induction of new project personnel and Contractors/ Developers
• Verification and reporting of Environmental Management system implementation through regular
Environmental Audits/ Inspections.
Requirements
To be considered for the role you must have/be:
Working currently as an Environmental Supervisor, Environmental Engineer
Current GCC experience – preferably currently based in the UAE
A Diploma or Degree in Environmental or Architecture related fields
At least 5 years experience working for a leading main contractor, PMC or on the client side.
NEBOSH Certificate in Environment management, ISO 14001:2004
