The RoleThe RolePB has been appointed as the program management consultant for a US $8 billion program focussing on the construction and upgrade of local road and drainage projects throughout the country over a five year period. PB will have overall responsibility for management and coordination of all interfaces with the client and the stakeholders. PB will also oversee general engineering consultants for each of five geographic zones comprising Qatar. Due to this we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Environmental Manager for the project. Position Specific: Provide effective leadership and advice in Environmental Management discipline Plan, organise and manage successful completion of the environmental responsibilities as required by the project scope of services Ensure that the environmental requirements of local legislation and international best practice standards are complied with Achieve requird Government approvals of the environmental documents Manage environmental teams and resources to achieve objectives Accompany senior managers on site Environmental tours as requested Raise situational awareness of stakeholders as an integral part of sound Enviornmental Management Oversee disciplinary measures of any stakeholders who are not in compliance with project Construction Environmental Management Plant (CEMP) Provide Environmental performance measurement criteria |
RequirementsRequirementsCommunication & Team Work Lead and develop strong and effective communication and working relationships with PB site managers Establish cooperative working relationships based on consultation and regular communications with employees though participation in meetings Operate in a team environment Work Experience and Knowledge 15 years experience of which 5 years should have been in a managerial position Experience in the effective implementation of environmental management onsite of large scale projects Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication abilities Degree in relevant qualification and a Masters degree an added advantage Middle East experience preferred Please Note: we are inviting direct applications only.
