Job description / Role
A leading European Environmental Service Company is currently looking to appoint an experienced Iraqi National to join their operations in Basra, Iraq. With a steadily improving security situation and a gradual return to oil production there is an evolving caseload for environmental services and the key responsibility of the Operations Manager will be to convert these opportunities into a salient business.
Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess a broad understanding of environmental consultancy services ranging from EIA's through to hazardous waste management for industrial clients and should have a strong technical appreciation of land contamination & remediation projects. Strong communication and people management skills are a prerequisite as is the flexible mindset to "pitch in" in a small evolving local operation.
This position is only open to Iraqi citizens, however it would be significantly advantageous if you also have experience of working in Western Europe, Canada or the USA and have a track record in working with large industrial clients in a highly regulated environmental regime.
