Environmental Superintendent

Job description / Role

The Environmental Superintendent will champion environmental excellence in this new business, operating a large-scale open pit mine, and downstream chemical/fertilizer manufacturing complex. This will include the current construction phase, commissioning and future operations. This will include regulatory compliance and reporting, development and management of internal systems and processes, and provision of technical support and expert advice to the various business units, in addition to audit, incident investigation, coaching and mentoring staff in a multinational environment.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and be able to champion environmental issues and functions across a complex organisation. You must be a technical expert who can cover the many operational functions from mining to minerals/chemical processing. You should be degree qualified in Environmental engineering with a successful career to date in this or similar industries, preferably in the GCC region. You will require excellent communication skills and be a strong influencer.
