Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are currently looking for an Environmental Supervisor who will be responsible for the evaluation of environmental impacts, participation in subsequent resolving design and construction activities, managing the environmental interface with the Client and the various Contractors on site, and for ensuring compliance of all construction activities with the Overall Construction Environmental Management Plan (OCEMP).

The scope includes inspection of new work sites to ensure compliance with their CEMP, and review of Contractor method statements to ensure best environmental practice. It will also include oversight of sample collection and review of results, review of Environmental Impact Assessments and permit applications for new projects in consultation with the Client, and advise to other project members on environmental issues.

Check of regulations, local standards and project related requirements regarding environmental impact (e.g. environmental impact assessments) Coordination with all other related design and construction team members (Interface coordination)Manage the environmental interface with the Client and the various Contractors on site and review of Contractor CEMPs, method statements, risk assessments and permits.

Ensure all agreed CEMP standards and applicable regulations are observed instructing the contractor to rectify as required, and carry out record, document and issue daily, weekly & monthly, site environmental inspections, audits and reports.

Preparation of application documents for environmental approvals.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
Holds a Diploma or equivalent. Must have attended recognized environmental related training courses.

Minimum Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in the field of Environmental Management and preparation of environmental impact assessments / studies and other related works.

Further Qualification Required:
Thorough knowledge of local and international regulations, standards and procedures related to environmental management and protection.

Further Experience Required:
Good written and oral communication skills.
