Estimator (Civil, MEP, Low Current, Architectural)

This opportunity is for an extremely organized, experienced professional who have an eye for accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.

Job responsibilities include:
1. Prepare and/or coordinate the preparation of full cost estimates on conceptual, design, or general tender work.
2. Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
3. Prepare discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
4. Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including accurate information on prices from suppliers through direct contact/procurement department.
5. Evaluation of variation submitted by contractors and negotiation with contractors quantity surveyor on any discrepancy in quantities, items, rates and checking price escalation submitted by contractors.
6. Take off quantities for project works by using Auto CAD drawings, tabulating, analyzing and formulating the information to facilitate the preparation of measurement sheet.
7. Perform additional assignments as per supervisors direction.

Requirements

1. A minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in which 3 years preferably in GCC.
2. Should possess superior organizing skills.
3. Excellent computer skills.
4. Bachelors degree in Engineering, but the position is not restricted for diploma holders and will be considered provided they have commendable work experience.
5. Polished communication skills and the confidence to liaise with external stake holders.
6. Must be a team player and have strong sense of ownership of this role.
