We actively encourage applications from all sectors of the community.We offer a complete range of Programme Management Project Services Contract Services and Management Consultancy including Benchmarking capable of supporting our Client's investment strategies at every stage of a development from pre-development planning to final cessation. We currently have an opportunity in Qatar for an experienced Estimator for a rail project to provide support to the estimating department in establishing robust cost plans and estimates.

Key Duties:Reporting to the Estimating Manager specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Generate estimates in accordance with current guidance and tools.
- Ensure that variations are evaluated against time and cost estimation with variances reviewed and reported.
- Support the Estimating Manager in developing commercial approaches to improve time and cost estimation at the negotiation stage.
- Ensure rates cost capture data is collated and that unit rates are fed into the cost estimating tools.
- Audit and review the rates checked by the PMCs and comment on the variances when benchmarked against wider industry.
- Ensure projects are challenged data analysed and evaluated against existing time and cost estimates variances reported and lessons learned to inform a consistent commercial approach.
- Develop robust data on contractors' overhead and rates that can be used to benchmark between them and also with wider industry norms.

Requirements

Skill Set Required:Degree in Engineering Quantity Surveying or similar
- Professionally accredited by RICS/CIOB/CICES or the like
- Minimum 5 years' experience related to railway projects and major international infrastructure projects
- Experience working in International / Middle East environment
