European Head of MEP Inspection & Commissioning (Stadium/Construction)

Job description / Role

We are looking for a European Head of MEP Inspection & Commissioning (Stadium / Construction) to work for a main contractor in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Project:
Turn key execution of a $384.000.000,00 60,000 seat world class stadium, to host football matches for club, national and international teams, a 2,000 spectator multipurpose indoor stadium, a 500 person Mosque, and execution of all associated infrastructure works such as 45,000 open asphalted car parking spaces, 8 kilometres of asphalted road works , 2 kilometres of pedestrian walkways, swales, culverts, substations and power, water and sewerage utilities.

Job Role:
Supervise the work of relevant Mechanical and Electrical Contractors to ensure quality and that constructions/installations are in accordance with drawings, specifications and local regulations.
Oversee Inspection & commissioning
Puts into place quality assurance procedures to ensure that procedures for review and inspection of installations are maintained throughout the project period.
Review materials and equipment to ensure that they are in accordance with the specifications.
Review shop drawings to ensure that they are in accordance with the design and that they are coordinated
Ensure that issues related to local codes, such as health and safety executives and environmental impact issues are complied with.
Issue 'Handing Over' certificate for completed works.
Review 'As Built' drawings and 'Operation and Maintenance Manuals'.

Requirements

Must be from a main contractor background not consultancies
Must have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 8 years of experience in the construction preferably on stadium projects
Must be from a main Contractor background and not a consultancy
Must have Middle East experience
Knowledge of AutoCAD counts as an asset
Must be fluent in English and speak one additional language
