Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are looking for a European Senior Contracts Administrator (MEP) to work for a western contractor on an Airport project in Abu Dhabi

Job Role:
- Senior Contracts Administrator (MEP)
- Assists Project Management in all aspects of contract administration.
- Advises on contract interpretation including analysing clients specifications and drawings.
- Ensuring the proper preparation and documentation of all information recording events as background to future claims.
- Reviews advises and drafts letters on contractual correspondence.
- Assists contractual negotiations of sub-contract agreements.
- Attends meeting with clients and participates in all contractual aspects of projects, including claims, final accounts, variations and contract interpretation.
- Preparation of variation orders, trend notices, claims, and negotiations of the same
- Advises on the development, agreement and implementation of the project contractual plans by reviewing, analysing and apprising project management of all aspect that govern the contract.

Requirements

- Bachelor in Quantity Surveying or Engineering degree and/or law background will be an added advantage
- MEP background Essential
- Must have Airport Experience
- More than 10 years of experience in large scale MEP works
- Formal qualification / affiliations to MRICS, RICS, MICES or MCIOB or any equivalent membership would be an advantage
- Must be European with Middle East experience
- A good knowledge of administering FIDIC or ICE and other similar contract formulation standards is required, with an ability to interpret contract conditions
- Technical and practical knowledge of all phases of prime contract and subcontract development, award, administration and close-out relating to a multi-discipline construction project.
- Technical and practical comprehension of engineering, procurement, and construction functions and general business techniques.
- Knowledgeable of current industry and technical developments
- Supervision level experience in the field of quantity survey and contract administration.
