Event Director

A government entity in Dubai are looking for Event Directors to support the growth strategy across the many economic pillars that Dubai

Reporting to the Group Director General, you will be accountable for running the particular event from A-Z with full P&L accountability.

The primary responsibility of the event director is to ensure that the event is successful and well attended and alighned with the mission and vision of this government entity. Responsibility of the director is to control all the different variables as much as possible with a calm and creative approach to all tasks.

The director's primary duty is to put an interesting and appealing program together with the existing event and add more to grow. This may involve collaborating with a committee or other people connected with the event Scouting and recruiting good talent is the first priority. The ability to recruit talent is obviously dependent upon the budget. In addition to the talent, another crucial factor is the theme or underlying ideas of the event. The director needs to be able to bring creative and new ideas to the job, rather than relying on previous ideas.

Requirements

•Degree educated
•At least 15 years of large scale event/festival experience is a must
•Managing live events with 10,000 plus people
•Experience in destination events on a world or regional scale
•Managed a team of 100+
•Ability to build relationships within a Gov't environment
