Employment: Full Time

MAJOR FUNCTIONS

Manages and supervises all activities related to event production, exhibition & conferences management and artist management. Responsibilities include directing team and operational logistics management of events, artists’ management, and exhibition and conferences departments ensuring that the concerts, conference, and exhibition deliverables are met on time and within budget.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Events Management

• Monitors and measures progress of ongoing events; providing status reports input on tactical and strategic directions, to contribute to the development of an integrated engagement strategy, and to ensure collaboration and build long-term partnerships.
• Manages logistics team and contribute to formulating and maintaining the event budget in conjunction with other key team members.
• Seeks and cultivates relationships music industry professionals, artist agents, partners from all content stakeholder categories.
• Manages all functions related to project and event planning; scoping, scheduling and managing bookings and participants for events, performances, exhibitions and conferences.
• Sources and negotiates with subcontractors, suppliers, internal and external supply chain.
• Formulates cost estimates, budgets and margin management; structure, price successfully negotiate and close deals that will maintain event budget.
• Ensures events are delivered consistently, in line with JV procedures and processes for budgeting, cost and time management, billing, supply management, ordering, reconciliation and confidentiality.
• Attends conferences and live events, managing/supporting the setup and running of the event as directed, which may at times require travel and periods of time away from home.
• Understands and competently administer company procedures and systems, the event planning process, and the internal management and billing processes.
• Facilitates project settlements ensuring accurate records have been kept and are available in a timely manner.
• Liaises with government, partners, suppliers and participants for all activities related to events management.

Working and Reporting Relationships

• Enhances existing relationships with key media personnel and entities in order to ensure the continued growth of the company.
• Maintains and exhibits excellent working relationships with all Clients staff.

Requirements

Continuous Development of Position

• Provides input and recommends initiatives to improve projects/events activities taking into account ‘international best practices’, changes in international standards and in the business environment.
• Minimum Educational, Technical Qualifications/Certifications Required
• Bachelor degree in Mass Communication or related events management field
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in communications or media/entertainment related fields
• Must have experience in a similar industry within the Gulf Region
