Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The main responsibility of the Events Coordinator is in conjunction with the Event Manager and Events Executive, plan and coordinate functions, sports and entertainment events held at Dubai Sports City. He/She will essentially be responsible for:

Hospitality management
- Manage the invitation process and coordinate the VVIP & Corporate box area of the stadium on event day.

Function Coordination
- Develop marketing collateral for function spaces, handle enquiries and plan functions within the Cricket stadium and other DSC venues.

Event Reporting
- Compile comprehensive post event reports on areas of responsibility.

Event Planning
- Work with the Events Manager in the planning and preparation of various aspects of large scale sporting & entertainment events.

Volunteer & Event Day Staff Supervision
- Effective management and supervision of any volunteers & other event personnel working within the hospitality areas of the stadium.

Requirements

The Event Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Event Manger and Events Executive with organising all logistical matters to ensure effective coordination with participants of the events, co-coordinate with venue management, caterers, stand designers, contractors and equipment hire companies.

He/She will also liaise with Marketing, Commercial and PR with regards to event operations ensuring daily effective coordination of all stakeholders and co-ordinate with all external agencies to ensure the that inputs and actions are timely and in accordance with the needs of the event and its event plan.

The ideal candidate will come from a background of Event Operations in Sports and Entertainment and will be available immediately to start this summer. Candidates with a Valid UAE driving license will be given preference.
