About Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE).

Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE) is the real estate development and operations arm of Al-Futtaim group which is headquartered in Dubai. AFGRE is responsible for the origination, conception, development, procurement and construction of mega projects and the leasing, sales and operation of these projects after completion.

In addition, AFGRE develops and operates an extensive multi-million dollar portfolio of individual corporate real estate and investment assets across the MENA region.
The two current flagship mixed use urban communities under the Festival City brand are the award winning, Dubai Festival City (5.2 million square metres) and Cairo Festival City (3 million square metres).

About Dubai Festival City
Dubai Festival City is an Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate development project which covers 5.2 million sq m and stretches 3 kilometres along the historic Dubai Creek that optimizes the thriving and visionary spirit of Dubai.

Dubai Festival City is an established creek side, mixed use destination and premier waterfront community interconnecting finest residential, shopping, dining, leisure & entertainment, international hotels, schools, golf course, automotive park and offices. It is formed into three distinct districts and connected by a 30 kilometers internal road network and creek side promenade. This existing community offers freehold villas and apartments for sale and lease which combine traditional and contemporary architecture. Upon completion, the community will be home to 50,000 residents living in 20,000 villas and apartments, and ideal place to work for 50,000 office staff.

About Festival Centre
Festival Centre is home to Dubai's premier concerts and festivals and has hosted world class entertainers such as Carlos Santana, Maroon 5, Tamer Hosni, Amr Diab, Shah Rukh Khan and Kylie Minogue. It has also presented Dubai with a wide array of festivals from the Emirates Airlines International Festival of Literature through to Dubai Desert Rock and Dubai Bike Week. Festival Centre hosts events, parades, entertainers and musicians each week ensuring families are always engaged and rewarded for their visit.

Festival Centre is a landmark 2m sq ft urban retail resort which forms the epicentre of Dubai Festival City now acknowledged to be one of UAE's most exciting retail, dining and leisure attractions. Set on the historic Dubai Creek, Festival Centre, offers over 400 world class retailers, 90 restaurants, cafés and bistros, a 12-screens Grand Festival Cinemas complex and a parking for more than 10,000 cars. It also boasts a stunning Marina and some of the emirate's most photographed sunset vistas.

About Cairo Festival City
Cairo Festival City is the second fully integrated mega project to be progressively delivered. Encompassing the finest shopping, dining, entertainment, homes, school, offices and leisure, Cairo Festival City is connected by an internal road network and a necklace of parks interlaced throughout the city. Upon completion, Cairo Festival City will be home to over 13,000 residents in villas and apartments and a place to work for 50,000 office staffs.Responsible for identifying and successfully managing events related projects such as exhibitions, grand openings; CSR events; retailer events, stage events, 3rd party events in DFC and sponsorships with the objective of maximizing exposure and providing a suitable platform for related advertising and promotion for Dubai Festival City Mall and Dubai Festival City.

Requirements

Events Budget:
Create and prepare events budget on an ad hoc basis, plan and coordinate the activities to coincide with important milestones of the project; the development program; and major festivals and events organized under the umbrella of the government. Present the budget to GM Marketing for approval, and subsequent to approval, administer it with the objective of utilizing the resources in the most effective manner.

Creative Events Approach:
* Continuously identify new and creative event ideas in line with key marketing objectives for the mall/as per marketing plan.
* Identify key sponsors (in tandem with speciality leasing department), suppliers, research entertainment opportunities, and carry out cost benefit analysis to weigh the potential opportunity in terms of the cost involved, and the return on investment, as well as achievement of business objective, for presentation. Present such proposal for review and approval by GM Marketing.

Event Management:
* Responsible for the preparation, implementation, delivery and management of events team (made up internal staff, consultants and external contractors) for scheduled public and corporate events, optimizing PR exposure and related advertising and promotion opportunity during that period.

Multi-Media Production/Video Productions:
* Together with the marketing communications manager work on producing top quality video productions for events/corp events to be used at exhibitions, internally, on Youtube and for award submissions.

Contacts/Suppliers/3rd Parties:
* Represent the company as the key liaison with outside parties in order to yield maximum exposure and leverage for the company in such forums. Gather and maintain good external contacts with suppliers, government bodies and involved companies in order to source the best opportunities for Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate.

Recruitment and Training:
* Participate in hiring and training short and long term staff on events policies/procedures (i.e. DED permits/contracts) for exhibitions, events and installations so that they may best represent Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate and project a professional image and level of knowledge about the project.

City-wide events:
* Together with the marketing team and GM marketing work on City-wide events (for DFC) and its partners i.e. Emirates Literature Festival, Dragon Boat Racing, Whatever Floats your boat and secure buy in- and/or participation from key anchor and/or Al Futtaim brands such as ICH, M & S, Ikea.

Retailer Coordination:
* Together with the GM marketing and Marketing administrator work on a retailer database to facilitate fast and effective retailer communication on an on-going basis. Approach retailers for participation in events/campaign i.e. Ramadan; DSS and DSF.

Retailer Meetings/Annual General Meetings/Category Meetings:
* Together with GM Marketing work on monthly retailer meetings for update key stakeholders/anchor retailers on events in DFCM and DFC to get a better return on retailer participation in /around the city.

Tourism (DFCMall and DFCM)
* Together with the GM marketing and CS service team work on an annual tourism strategy for DFCMall and DFC.
* Manage and track tourism efforts from DFC partners and ensure that DFCMall
* Work closely with retailers to implement a ‘special offers/promotions' for hotel guests.

Residential
* Together with the GM marketing meet with residential teams on a regular basis to ensure that DFCMall communicates regularly and effectively with all its ‘residents' in the City.
* Conceptualise and implement a residential programme (together with DFCMall retailers) that will encourage repeat visitation.
* Together with GM Marketing ensure that branding efforts across the city is in line with DFC positioning i.e. Gantries/ Street Dcor.

CSR:
* Align DFCM and DFC with 2 to 3 key charities in-line with the positioning of the mall/city and ensure that all partners are aligned with CSR focus in order to achieve a holistic approach when it comes to CSR in the City.

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
* Diploma in Marketing/ Events with 5 - 7 years in a well-established events management company in Europe or UAE (with good knowledge of the local marketing in terms of events/festivals/ded/dtcm/suppliers/agencies and companies engaged in events management).
* Events experience.
* Retailer experience (optional).
