This is an exciting opportunity to step outside the norm and take your PA skills to the next level.

As Personal Assistant to the Vice President of a large Multi-National Engineering firm, the successful candidate:

- Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the Vice President including: managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for travel-related meetings.
- Works closely and effectively with the Vice President to keep him well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Acts as a 'barometer,' having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping the Vice President updated.
- Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting acknowledgement letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks that facilitate the VPs ability to effectively lead the company.
- Assists in the preparation and planning of materials for meetings
- Drafts and cues up emails and other internal and external communications.
- Assists in the planning and preparation of materials for meetings and special events.
- Need to have an in-depth knowledge of the organisation and perform a variety of tasks depending on the employing organisation
- Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing
- Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate;
- Meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority

Requirements

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in business studies and will preferably come from an engineering or technical background.
They will be presentable and outgoing, displaying enthusiasm and energy in everything they do. Excellent business level English communication skills are essential, both written and verbal.
