So it should come as no surprise to learn that they are looking to hire an Executive Assistant who is not just your average Executive Assistant, rather the right hand to the Managing Director.

You will be responsible for providing the Managing Director with a high level of support whilst at the same time handling market research, presentation of reports, preparation of articles for internal publications and speeches. You will be required to respond to internal and external correspondence, coordinate a busy diary, arrange meetings and organise venues. You will also be dealing with day to day administrative duties effectively and efficiently.

However our client is specifically looking to identify all those other qualities you have, particularly your capabilities which have most likely been honed over five years within a busy commercial organisation. You should have the ability to use your own initiative in the MD’s absence and you should be able to demonstrate keeping a cool head in a tight situation. Plenty of business savvy and sublime interpersonal skills are also essential requirements to succeed in this role.

This is not a role for those quite happy to blend in with the office furniture. It is, however, a fantastic opportunity for those who stand out and who are outstanding, driven professionals with a high level of ambition and enthusiasm.
