Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Expeditor - 6 month contract

We are currently working with an Oil & Gas Operator conducting production and exploration operations in the Middle East. Due to continuous growth, our client is seeking an experienced Expeditor to be based in one of the Middle East's hot spots on a 6 month contract.

As an experienced Expeditor, you will report directly to the Procurement Manager with the responsibility of timely follow up and delivery monitoring of equipment used on site with the oil processing plants e.g. stationary and rotating equipment, valves, E&I materials, piping packages and other equipment related to upstream work, in accordance with project schedule, best principles of procurement and company policies.

- Other responsibilities include:

- Lead interactions between Vendors, Engineering, Project Management, QC & Production/Site Team during entire Purchase Order execution phase;

- Ensure to obtain from Vendor all necessary documents for review and approval prior to fabrication, till approval for manufacturing;

- Coordinate supplies weekly/monthly progress reports and their circulation within the Project Team;

- Cooperate with QC manager at TPI (Third Party Inspection Agency) for Vendors facilities tests and inspections till positive FAT

- Proactively identify and mitigate risks at all stages of Procurement Expediting;

- Interface with PMT team, Engineering, Manufacturing, QA/QC and Accounting to achieve performance Procurement Expediting objectives.

- Evaluate and record Vendor performances through company system.

Requirements

Suitable candidates must be degree qualified with 5 years experience in a similar position within the Oil & Gas industry. You must be able to work within a team in developing improved work processes as well be competent in MS Office and planning SW (MS Project as minimum). Fluent English is a must for this role.
