Experienced Food Buyer

Job description / Role

Leading FMCG Company based in Dubai is looking to recruit an experienced Food Buyer for international & local products to report to the Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager.

This role is suitable for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of experience of food purchasing internationally as well as in the UAE market and an excellent knowledge of the UAE supplier base.

Based in Dubai Investment Park (near Jebel Ali) the role comprises of the following day to day tasks:
- Sourcing and purchasing of existing and new products on a day to day basis
- Overseeing product stock levels
- Following up on delivery times and schedules for existing orders
- Monitoring Supplier and Product Database for imported and local products
- Developing solid relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
- Stock/Sales Analysis

Reports to: Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager

Requirements

- The candidate should have experience of working in a European or US company environment
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
- Top negotiation and cost saving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experienced Microsoft office user especially excel
- Financially astute
- Qualifications - Degree Level
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- Driving - Must hold valid UAE driving Licence and have own car
