The RoleThe RoleOur client are a Travel & Tourism operator in Abu Dhabi who require an experienced Marketing Officer for the AD office. To develop and deliver appropriate local (Abu Dhabi and Al Ain) marketing activity within agreed UAE BTL marketing plan. To ensure viable a return on investment that optimizes UAE targeted sales revenue To build brand and presence through all channels to the consumer in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Development & implementation of the local BTL marketing plan in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain - delivering against overall UAE annual marketing objectives and plan Plan and manage financial budgets by project to ensure regional marketing activity is within budget and financial procedures (i.e. POs etc) are followed Evaluate local sponsorship opportunities and implement initiatives where relevant ensuring proper brand exposure and strong return on investment Develop consumer marketing promotions with relevant local partners such as like-minded brands, travel trade, key accounts etc to drive consumer demand Work closely with travel trade partners to ensure the following: - Delivery of relevant and timely trade marketing tools and collateral with appropriate messaging and branding - Ensure that the organization is part of top travel trade marketing activities and calendars - Drive relevant and continued exposureof through trade communication channels including agencies and websites - Support trade events including fam trips and communications materials for trade presentations and training - Development and execution of monthly trade enewsletter Work closely with top corporate accounts to maximize exposure opportunities through their communications channels (i.e. staff events and internal communication collaterals) Support the delivery & execution of joint marketing programmes with tourism partners in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain including event support and travel trade integration where required Work closely with central and UAE regional marketing team to ensure local delivery of central marketing activities and input local knowledge where relevant Ensure delivery of tactical sales promotions materials to the trade to support key routes and business as required throughout the year (additional to base line BTL marketing plan) Act as brand guardian for the region |
RequirementsRequirementsQualification & Education: A Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Business Management Experience: At least 5 years of marketing experience in a sales and / or travel trade environment. Training & Knowledge: Thorough understanding of marketing communications including advertising, media, direct marketing, travel industry marketing. Thorough knowledge of Abu Dhabi & Al Ain (from travel industry perspective preferred) Ability to analyse booking data and recommend/take appropriate action Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within defined timelines and budgets Strong interpersonal skills, social competence and team player Excellent communication skills Strong negotiation and presentation skills Fluent spoken and written English required with fluent spoken Arabic. |
