Job description / Role
As the Expert - IT System Analyst you have a strong technical background and at the same time excellent communication and documentation skills. Technical skills in telecom and IT are required to effectively conduct research, design and assist development teams to implement the change request. Communication and documentation skills are important to liaise with users in different departments to identify and document change requirements. Liaising extensively with end/ business users, analysing existing systems, reviewing and analysing all system change requests, translatingbusiness user requirements into highly specified project briefs, identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability, supporting the project manager in executing against project schedule, being able to produce outline designs, specifying the operations the system will perform, and the way data will be viewed by the user using interactive mock up UI, ability to produce a detailed technical package from a specification document, and have desire to perform business analyst functions, such as program level analysis, including documentation of system requirements, creating reviews and editing requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to a proposed solution, developing functional specifications as required by the scope of the project, agrees using cases and defines test scenarios for execution by the UAT team, creating logical and innovative solutions to complex problems, drawing up specific RFPs for modified or replacement systems, working closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction, writing user manuals, keeping up to date with technical and industry sector developments and ability to take ownership of significant project elements or system components from design through implementation.
Requirements
To be considered for the role you should have a minimum of 6 years analysis experience as an application/ systems analyst with a bachelors degree in computer science, information systems or related field required.
* Knowledge in programming either in Oracle or Microsoft technologies.
* Knowledge in code analysis or support maintenance of legacy applications.
* Knowledge of programmatically interfacing with relational databases like SQL Server.
* Problem analysis and resolution based on QA or customer reported issues.
* Strong organisational, problem solving and communication skills.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to work both independently or in a team.
* Knowledge  and experience of HP ALM is a must.
