Job description / Role

ABOUT CLIENT:
An exciting opportunity with an established leading South East Asia based National Oil Company that functions throughout offshore development sites.


JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE-

• Prospect evaluation and resource assessment with modern technology, maturing prospects and make decision for optimally drilling them cost effectively.

• Have full expertise in life of field cycle starting from initial exploration appraisal right up to field development and subsequent exploitation

• Total Petroleum Systems - Conduct work to evaluate the petroleum system elements - source rock, reservoir, trap, seal and timing

• Geological Wireline Log Interpretation - Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses.

• Seismic Horizon and Fault Interpretation, Time to Depth Conversion

• Performed the tasks of maturing prospect on regular basis - used various type tools and methods such as DHI, AVO, amplitude analysis, depositional models to predict reservoir presence and quality

• Good understandings on prospect geological uncertainty and risk, able to suggest or perform derisking work.

• Seism stratigraphic Interpretation, Integration with Well and Surface Data

• Conducted seismic stratigraphic and seismic facies interpretation

• Developed or participated in study that constructed a clastic or carbonate sedimentary depositional model.

• Basin/Play Analysis - Able to define prospective area/play to test

• Able to explain in details of any structural trap configuration from project undertaken.

• Resource Classification and Volume/Risk Assessment

Requirements

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• B.Sc. in Geology, Geophysics, Physics or related field

• Minimum of 8 years of experience
