Export Manager
Salary: up to OR 2,000 based on Experience
Location: Muscat, Oman

Our Client is a group of companies headquartered in Oman with interests in Lighting Solutions, which is their main revenue earner, Cosmetics, IT, Communications, F&B and engineering.
A company that has been operating for decades and is now undergoing some important changes and restructuring in order to be competitive in the market.

They have plans for the immediate future to expand across the region with initial focus on the UAE.
Due to the exciting growth period ahead, they are seeking an Export Manager to manage the entire Export business of the group.
Key functions for the role include planning, coordination and distribution or movement of product to the customer.
Responsible for managing a sales team.

Responsibilities
Determine budgets and sales targets together with management
Within Freight Forwarding you will be responsible for the management of the Export sales team which will include the monitoring of their performance, planning training appropriate to their needs and the control of the sales and service program
Responsible for the management of client relationships and ensuring that your staff manages any complaints appropriately.
Maintain good customer relationships and monitor customer
Advise dealers and distributors on policies and operating procedures to ensure the business runs effectively and efficiently.
Assess the market for potential new and existing sales opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in sales and marketing or equivalent
Minimum 6 years experience in Export and or freight forwarding
Previous experience in managing a team and performance
Sound and proven understanding of sales and marketing strategy
Ability to engage in critical thinking and problem solving techniques.
Good understanding of business finance and ability to manage budgets as well as set sales targets and evaluate sales data.
Excellent communication in English
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain and develop new client relationships.
Ability to influence others to buy goods or services, or negotiate for the benefit of the organization.
High level skills in MS Office
Omani national preferred or alternatively GCC national can apply
