Job description / Role
The Role:
The External Communications Executive will be part of the expanding Corporate Communications team at Alshaya, you will be for managing the corporate element of Alshaya's external communications programme to enhance the Alshaya brand and corporate reputation. Focused on delivering a positive flow of corporate news and information to external stakeholders and providing a robust media relations/editorial content review infrastructure for the business. Specifically:
Contribute to development of annual External Communications plan, managing direct reports in order to deliver all elements of plan within area of responsibility Review all media engagement activity planned by brand teams and ensure its execution is in line with guidelines.
Manage Alshaya's press office, effectively media enquiries and acting as guardian of Alshaya's core messaging and positioning statements (English and Arabic)
Pro-actively identify and develop corporate stories which reinforce Alshaya's growth story and enhance its reputation
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
Degree educated, ideally in communications or related subject
5+ years' communications experience (international experience an advantage)
Experience of implementing PR campaigns - preferably within a retail or FMCG environment
Strong Arabic writing skills is an essential requirement for this roel
Excellent factual and creative writing and editing skills in English and Arabic
Strong organisational, planning and project management skills.
