Job description / Role
The function of the Operations Manager is to manage and provide technical support as required for delivery of all the hard services supporting the complete client operations as defined in the contract conditions and scope of work.
This includes the mechanical and electrical utilities required to support the contract operations.
Responsibilities may include
- Setting budgets and controlling expenditure
- Managing OH&S and risks
- Contract specification, tendering, negotiation and management
- Managing preventative maintenance or upgrade
Business Continuity Planning (e.g. disaster recovery and emergency procedures)
- Waste Management
- Risk Assessments (e.g. Fire and Occupational Health and Safety)
- Preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance (e.g. Fire protection systems and lifting equipment)
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards
- Industrial hygiene, including indoor air qualityHeating, Ventilating, Air conditioning and Refrigeration
- Building automation systems
- Grounds maintenance and horticulture
- Periodic Statutory Testing and Inspections
Requirements
- Bachelors in Engineering
- Experience in facilities management preferred.
- Fire safety certifications from recognized organizations.
- Specialist knowledge: Knowledge of servicing the F&B and retail industry a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to lead dedicated team and meet goals/deadlines on time.
- 2 years minimum experience and a Diploma of Facilities Management or Bachelor in related field
- 5 years minimum experience with no formal education
Language Fluency: English, Arabic
